About us
McElligott Consulting Engineers provide mechanical and electrical design support to the following areas: Commercial, District Heating, Residential and Institutional. Almost without exception, each client aims to achieve improved efficiency and reduce costs without compromising on the quality of the
occupied environment. We give our clients the considerations and resulting solutions associated with what will best suit their application. This approach was recently recognised as Richard McElligott was part of the winning team in that years Environment section of the SEAI awards.
A chartered engineer, Richard McElligott is responsible for the Mechanical side of McElligott Consulting Engineers with particular expertise in Part L compliance, district heating systems and green solutions.
Richard was part of a team who won an SEAI award for the Cosgrave Developments site at Honey Park, Dun Laoghaire. A former head of the Building Services division at Fluor Ireland, he has extensive industrial experience from his time at the PM Group for multinationals such as IBM, Xerox and Organon. Richard also worked on power stations for the ESB at Lanesborough and Shannonbridge.
Our Awards
Our work won an SEAI award for the Cosgrave Developments site at Honey Park, Dun Laoghaire.
McElligott were design engineers for both finalists in the Energy Management category EnviroCom Awards for Cosgrave Bros, who won with St Raphaela’s. We collaborated with Shannon Homes & Origen Energy Ltd who were the runners up.
